The Futureheads VS. DiS 5/6-a-side football match. Want in?
Hello! You lot like football, right? Good. Me too. Anyway, the proposal has been aired that WE (that's Drowned in Sound, or the readers, and forum members) take on popular indie band The Futureheads at football. Most likely in the format of a 5 or 6-a-side football game, also most likely somewhere in London.
Interested? Of course you are. Anyway, we don't know any specifics at the moment - whether it'd be possible to have a multi-team mini-tournament somewhere - 'cos demand'd probably be pretty high, judging by the amount of you who turn out to play those 11-a-side DiSer matches.
But yeah, if you're interested sign below, throw suggestions of venues, organisation and whatever not.
Anyone got any shindpads I can borrow?

I'm happy to book the pitches (I can get discounts at various locations) and other organisational duties as long it's on a day I can make it. 5 or 6-a-side tournament like we did early January is probably the most suitable format for this.
Have those eager Futureheads suggested any sort of date?
Note that weeknights are notoriously difficult (except for August and December) as most pitches get booked up for work-related games and leagues. Weekend pitches are easier to get, and cheaper. And it shouldn't clash with our regular 11-a-side dates. Unless we decide to replace a future one for this event.

Futureheads have gotten back to me, in a manner of speaking and weekends aren't good for them. So provisional date is April 14. In the evening.
